Information Sciences in Imaging 2012 Seminar Series: March
Re-Engineering Clinical Data for Population Science and Comparative Effectiveness Research
With the widespread deployment of Electronic Health Records and subsequent use of data from ‘real world’ patient care, clinical investigators have unprecedented opportunities in ‘real-time’ population science.
In this talk, I will present research on patterns of care in longitudinal cohort data. I will focus on collaborative efforts to analyze data collected on breast cancer care at Stanford Hospital & Clinics and the Palo Alto Medical Foundation (PAMF).
I will present my group's work on informatics approaches for data integration, temporal mining, and network analysis that reveals how care is delivered using EHR and other sources.
